Default 295/35/18 vs 305/45/18

looks like bfg radials is out of stock right now in the 295/35/18 which is a 26.xx tall tire. but nitto has a 305/45/18 tire which is 28.81 setup. would this be a good tire to run on street and track. im liking the height though as im running 3.70's and with my power i think this would be a good compromise being how narrow nittos already run

I don't know how much trouble that would be to fit them under there. You've obviously got the power to spin them and that extra sidewall may help out a bit. What's your redline?

I have the 295-35-18s and they pretty much just fit. I can still get them to rob if i take a corner hard enough. The 305-45-18 is gonna be really tall. but if you can get it to fit ok, I think it would be a great tire for your 707 horsepower. (goddamn thats awesome). beautiful car.
And 00 CAMARO SS, those are some very impressive numbers in your sig.

i have 295/35/18 right now and its got alot of room still... im running ground controls so raising it i can do... my redline is somewhere around 6700... LME told me i can run it up to 7k i believe, but i dont take it that high.

ive contacted M/T their 305/35/18 should be coming out next month, so they say. i might hold off and wait. thats about a 26.3x tire

Will 295/35/18s fit on 18 x 9.5 wheels? I read some mixed reviews on here earlier before search KOed.

I have 295/35/18's in the rears on my Y2K's (18X9.5) for over 2 years and they fit just right. I was skeptical about this size but it worked for me.
