gsd3 better than nittos?
hey guys, i noticed lately the gsd3 has been getting lots of praises. i also heard that nittos were better tire for daily driving and gets more miles than mt's and bfg's!! so between the 2 which actually would hook up better for daily driving street and never any track time? cuz i hear with an stalled auto, that u need atleast some nittos to hook. so im curious if the gsd3 can hook just as good and be better driving especially in the rain.

the General Exclain UHP's from tire rack ranked number 1 out of almost 50 tires in the Ultra High Performance Tires. I got a new set on my car and love them so far!!! Oh yeah I didnt mention they are cheap too!!!

well the nittos are a drag radial and the gs3's are street tires.
i had a hard time hooking at all even with my rear suspention being all redone for the strip.i had falken street tires[275-40-17 on chrome zr1's] and had not traction at all and i put a set of nitto 555r drag radials and it is a night and day diff. they are realy sticky on the street but i havent gone to the track yet. so i would say nittos if you need traction and mine have 30psi in them right now and they hook great

well the nittos have a softer compund of rubber and the gsd3's are still a street tire that is made to last a wile[20-30k mi] i realy like my 555r's so far and there better than any street tire iv had[iv had a lot of diferent typs of cars like supercharged and spray]
before the nittos i wouldent even try to get on it from a dead stop it was useless then i went on a old coutry road with no cars and lit um up just a bit to clean them of then stalled to about 1300rpm and stomped it and it barked the nittos once and dead hooked.
till that time i dident even know how my car felt from a stop even at the track i had to slowly give gas at the line.

I've been to the track MANY times for years with my 285 GS-D3's, and they suck *** for traction. I spin through the entire first 60ft. I can't get my 60ft time below 2.4. However on the street, I can't get 'em to break loose at all. They are one of the ultimate street tires. It just depends on whats important to you, or finding a happy medium.
