Size of tires on ss rims.
Whats the biggest tires i can put on a set of ss rims like street radials or slick wise. I have some skinny *** ones on there and i want something alittle beefier and will last alot longer than the ones i have on there.

ss wheels as in ZR1's, or 2000 up 10 spokes ? oh, duh, never mind just clicked on your pic and saw that there 10 spokes. 285/40/17 i would think, or a 275 in a drag radial. ive seen 315's mounted on 10 spokes but i really dont think thats a good idea.....

on the stock 17's id no larger than 275. the rims isnt that wide. putting above 275 or 285 (dont see those much) on there isnt a good idea, 315's is ******* retarded
315's are meant for an 11inch rim, not a 9.5

So do you think that street radials will last longer than the ones i got? Its dark outside and i cant really tell. Also, im guessing street radials will hook better? Another problem i might have is traction...its my dailey driver and i want to be able to drive it in the rain. Lol one more question...are street radials expensive...like whats a general price range for a decent set.

The biggest you should go is a 285/40/17. ALL factory SS, WS6 and Firehawk oem 17" wheels are 9" width.
As I have stated many times. Not all tires are created equal. BFG tends to run wide for their sizing. Goodyear, Nitto, Sumitomo, etc are typically skinnier on the tread.
The width of the tire is the measurement of section width, NOT tread width.
