Question Corvette C5 Rims on a 2000 Z??

hey everyone, here's my situation... I currently have the stock 16's all around and i wanted to improve the look of my car, so i purchased some OEM C5 rims with Eagle F1 EMT's.. The new rims are 18x9.5 in back and 17x8.5 in front. I am confused on if and how they'll fit on my car. I'm sure I'll need a spacer, but I guess I'm wondering if anyone has gone through this situation and what did it take to make them fit?? And also, what are you opinions on spacers?? Do they make your car slower or adversely affect performance whatsoever?? Sorry for all the newbie questions Any input at all would help! Thanks

oh and your speedometer may be a little off as you are going from a 16" to a 18" in the rear. You could put the tires next to each other and see how tall the whole setup is compared to stock. If it's not far off at all i wouldn't worry to much about the speedo. If you want that fixed you'll have to have it tuned for the difference. It shouldn't make much difference in performance at all.
