I have the 315s and they are very wide, no mods needed with 11 in zr1's. They hook great.

Hey i work around tires all day long. if you've only got a 9 inch rim, i would highly discourage putting the 315s on it. for one they are gonna wear alot faster because your putting so much strain on the side wall because it's going to be balloned out... alot. and two you take away the ability to rotate your tires, (because if you run a 315 on all four you WILL rub the fronts away in no time), basically cutting their life in half.
My suggestion would be to fit all four with a real sticky (but not too sticky) 285 40 17. that will give you a slightly larger contact patch. Also focus on beefing up your suspension. Hope i helped

If hes considering M/T i highly doubt he plans on rotating them

I wouldn't...stockers are what-9.5 inches wide...and you trying to put an 12.5 inch section width tire on it. I would stick with 275's.

Are you talking a ET Street...or a ET Drag Radial?

i have nittos 275 40 17 on there now, what tire would you recommend? not hooking very well with the nittos. what tire pressure would you have them at the track?
