Poweder coating 10 spoke ss rims! Hey I am thinking about getting my 10 spoke ss rims off my 2000 ss camaro powder coated black! I want to leave the outside/lip silver though... Has any one ever done this?? If any one has some pics of their rims that they had powder coated I would like to see them. Can you get them glossy?

well you guys already jacked his thread, so your ss ^^^^^^ looks like its has a skyjacker lift kit on it... lol

DO NOT powdercoat wheels (at least not aluminum ones). I know of a couple failures after powdercoating. The baking of the powdercoating can anneal the aluminum (it loses it's temper and gets soft). I've seen them bend, and I saw the hub section (center) crack completely out of a 1997 Corvette "wagon wheel". I'd pass on the powdercoating.
