Exclamation Poweder coating 10 spoke ss rims!

Hey I am thinking about getting my 10 spoke ss rims off my 2000 ss camaro powder coated black! I want to leave the outside/lip silver though... Has any one ever done this?? If any one has some pics of their rims that they had powder coated I would like to see them. Can you get them glossy?

There was a guy on here who had some 10 spokes painted black and it looks sweet on his silver Z. Hope this helps.

Excuse me?

1.I wasn't the only one posting.
2.I'm not exactly into the "Lowerider" look.I'll leave that to Cheech and Chong.
3.Your car isn't exactly looking the best either.Pick a set of wheels and go from there.

Damn internet warriors...Gotta love'em!

from the mouth of Trackbird:

DO NOT powdercoat wheels (at least not aluminum ones). I know of a couple failures after powdercoating. The baking of the powdercoating can anneal the aluminum (it loses it's temper and gets soft). I've seen them bend, and I saw the hub section (center) crack completely out of a 1997 Corvette "wagon wheel". I'd pass on the powdercoating.
paint them, not powder coat
