Is that why Nitto recommends a 10" min rim w/ a 12" max, for that size. http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Eti...t555r2%2Esizes
If ya want bigger tires, get bigger wheels. Otherwise its your car, do what ya want.

i think you could get a 305 NITTO to fit on there, but as for BFG, i wouldnt even try. Im looking to try this myself. I have pics of 295 BFG dr's which run wide on a 9.5" c5 rim, so i was thinking that a 305 nitto would fit

dude running a 305/35 is a perfect combination for your rims. they won't barely bulge. my 295 bfg's didn't bulge a single bit which is why im goin 315 nitto nt01's on mine. These will bulge but nothing wrong with a lil bulging, i actually like the look lol. cobra guys put 315's all day long on 9.5's, not recommended but hey, these tires "are not for highway use" either.. just guidelines

why the **** do people ask questions and recommendations when they already have their mind set on doing something that isnt correct
if you already know your gonna put too big of a tire on too small of a wheel, dont post another retarded thread about "will this tire fit on this wheel" when no matter what your told you already have your mind made up

2 post telling him its not a good idea and
then 3-5 more post telling him its not a good idea and
seems to me he already has his mind made up
just because you have the incorrect size tires on your wheels doesnt mean you should promote others doing it. and yes, btw, there is something wrong with a little bulge. it decreases the sidewall support of the tire and can cause ride irregularities and vibration problems, and it defeats the entire purpose of having a wider tire. see the pic of the cobra, particularly the last one. see the last 1/2" of so of the tread of the tire that is the darker color on each edge. that is a combined 1" of tread width that isnt making full contact with the ground as a result of being on to narrow of a wheel. doesnt make much sense does it since putting the right size tire will actually increase contact patch. but then again i guess you wont be as cool since you wont be able to say you have 305's or 315's
205's on a 9" wheel, just cause it fits doesnt make it right
