Question Help me pick new DR!!

Toss up between
1. DFG
2. M/T

I have nittos right now and they suck dont hook well at all on the street and only used them less than 5 months and there all ready bald in the center. I'v daily diven M/t's and know they hook great and they seem to have lasted longer than my nittos. but the BFG's seem to be a good middle point of the two. I've been intrestes in the Hoosiers but heard they wear even quicker than the m/t's. what do you think?

thanks
kevin

ive had both tread patterns of the bfgs. and i like them both. they seem to wear pretty quick tho. i havnt tried the mickeys yet. i mite give those a try on my next set.. alot of people like nittos just cus they are better for all weather. these bfgs SUCK BIG TIME! with any kind of moisture on the road..so be careful in the rain

yeah, i daily drove M/T's so i know the whole rain thing, trust me after doing a 360* just tapping on the throttle at 30mph, and driving on the highway in dense traffic between two semi's and feeling the backend sway back and forth in a storm aswell.. that will wake you up in the moring

I like the design of the new mickey thompson street radials and from what I have heard they stick very well. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...ETStreetRadial
Its the second one. Those seem like they might be better in the rain.

I have only used the old design BFGs and they seem good to me. They hook way better on the street than my GSD3s. I got caught in the rain once and, honestly, they seemed to do fairly good. They do break loose quicker than street tires but nothing scary.

I went from GSD3s (still run them up front) to Nitto 555r and wasn't too impressed with them. When my new setup gets done I'll probably just have 2 sets of rear wheels, one for hooking and one for DDing. Those new M/Ts look pretty nice though. Luckly I have time for ya'll to test them out for me before I have to take the plunge.

i've had both... M/T wear much quicker but hook noticeably better. Wear also depends on how many burnouts you do, and how good traction is during a run.

If you car is sub 430-450 whp and you are doing mostly roll racing, i would get the BFG over M/T.

you just have to heat the nittos up to get them to hook up any better than a normal z rated tire

ive all ready had m/t's and daily drove them aswell. 100% Stock rear end w/ over 80k on it at the time, and no problems. now just have gm 3.73's and 94k. this is with an auto of corse.

I'm leaning toward Bfg's just b/c they might last alil longer and they are cheaper. i got problably 5k out of the M/T's and they still had life in them when i sold them. How many miles have you guys got out of the BFG's?

Well the BFG's seem a little soft. I think they are planting, but it seems the cars tear right through them. And they don't last at all so I don't think they are a good choice for a DD. I am waiting on MT new sizes should be out in April, so I went with a set of Nittos, and while I know they don't hook as well. I think I am tearing the BGF's up they just look like someone rolled a bunch of playdough up in rolls on them. I thought I'd try a little harder compound to see how they would do in all around lasting and traction. But over all I think the MT are going to be the best, but waiting on a one of the new sizes to come out etc...Toyo has a DR that looks promising, but they were going to take longer to get and cost a little more.
