what kind of 60' times are you getting with these tires, and are you having any rubbing problems with them?

MT ET Streets 26x10.5x16 is my choice. I know alot of people run the 11.5s but I've read several posts on them rubbing at high speeds after they expand (no personal experiences but just what I've read). With the 10.5s you should have zero rubbing issues, my car is a 99 also with stock 16x8s and no clearance issues at launch or at high speeds.

That makes no sence. The height of the tire is the only thing that changes when a tire expands due to tire speed. Weather you have a 26x10.5 or 26x11.5 they are going to grow in height the same, and get narrower. I dont see how they would rub any diffrent based on width of the tire.

I have not had these at the track yet, Since our tracks are all closed for winter, but I can tell you after you heat them up they do bite hard. I think they hook better than the 325 DRs I had previously, probably because they have a much thinner sidewall.

You do realize that a 26x11.50 ET street is a taller tire than a 26x10.50 et street. If you don't believe me than go to Mickey Thompsons website and read it there. Maybe I wasn't clear on my point, the height of the 11.5 will expand to a taller maximum height than a 10.5 tire. This is turn has caused rubbing issues on the bottom of the fender well. A thin walled tire at speeds rubbing your fender well spells blow out. Just trying to look at both sides of the question here and the guy doesn't want to use the BFH mod and he would not have to modify anything for sure with the 10.50s. Many people have had great results from the 11.50s on 16x8 but I chose the 10.50 for safety because I know they work with out any rubbing period. Just my .02

I've used the stock saladshooters w/ MT ET Street 26x11.5 many times at the track and never had any rubbing issues whatsoever.
Now going to a 28" tire is a different story.

yeah the 26x11.5 is like less than a half inch taller than the 26x10.5 big deal. I have 28s under my car now and even those dont rub when they expand.
