Default Tires! tires! Tires!

Going to order me some black ruff wheels soon and was wondering about tires.

I read and read about kuhmo mx, kdws, yokos, etc. etc.

I was going to go kdw but i heard they arent as good in the rain as kuhmo. I was going to go with kuhmo but alas they arent as good on dry as kdw. LOL

I live in colorado. The car is not drove in the snow. only wet and dry.

They guy at Discount tires told me he would go with Nitto. They wear about the same as kdw and are a tad cheaper.

Im thinking 275/35/18 for front and 295/35/18 for rear!

any suggestions??

I really like the BFG products. KDW or KDWS gets my vote.

i have 275/40/18 KDW tires on all 4 corners. they arent drag radials so dont expect that traction from them but they are a good everyday kinda tire. I have driven probably 25k miles on mine and only one track day with plenty of spirited driving in the past 2 years and they still have good life left on them. run them at 30-32psi

so bfg is the way to go huh? I heard kdw2 were not as good as the originals. Is that true?

And what are kdw nt? Just a different tread pattern?

---EDIT---

These are the wheels im going with.

http://www.wheelselections.com/ruffracing.php

The 278 black series.

They come in this package : 18x8.5 Ruff staggered w/ 225/40/18 Front Tires
18x9.5 Ruff staggered w/ 265/35/18 Rear Tires

But i wanna run 265 in the front and 295 in the back. Will that work on this size of rim or not?

Thanks!

I am sold on the KDW. When I needed new tires, I went to the GSD3 and am not impressed. I will be going back to the KDW next time. They just do everything, except drag racing, very well.

I thought the KDW2 and KDW NT were the same thing, the new tread design. The KDWS are all season.

i always liked my kuhmos in the wet, and my falkens on dry land. ive never had BFG, so i guess im not a good person to give advise, but if i drove my car on wet roads id have kuhmos on for normal use.

My vote is for BFGoodrich tires. The KDWS were the best DD tires I've owned. They are a great all around performance tire for the price. I don't know if you plan on driving them in snow either, but they also handled the snow pretty well until they had about 30,000 miles on them.
