Default Broken wheel studs

I put a set of z06 wheels on my 2000 camaro a few months back, and ever since then its been snaping the rear wheel studs almost every time i spin the tires. I was wondering if maby they needed different lug nuts, or wheel studs?

Granted the stock ones arent all that strong, he shouldnt be breaking them. What lug nuts are you using? How tight are you putting the lugs on?

are you using spacers? have they been torqued to spec? are you seating them all the way? spool? you shouldn't snap stock style studs like that, spend a little bit and buy arp's

Sound like they are torqued way to much......overtightening the lugs will stretch the bolt and make it weaker than normal.

stock lugs if you take the wheels on and off constantly for years they will fatigue over time and snap or as others said over torquing them will stretch them and snap them no problem.

ARP's would be the way to go.

they are stock studs, and i am torqueing them to spec. It is just since i put on the z06 wheels. so all i was wondering is if something needed to be changed along with the wheels.
