Default What backspacing do I need? Currently have 17x11 ZR1's, need 15x10 rims

Now I have 17x11 +50mm, they are perfectly centered in the fender. What BS should I get 15x10 rims? As I understand, center of rim must remain where it is now, so offset is also +50mm=2", and BS calculates to (10"/2)+2" = 7" ? Or am I wrong?
P.S. Car has 12-bolt but I don't know it's width.

you'll need 7.5" backspacing for it to have a somewhat stock look (ie tires/wheels not sticking out of the wheel wells).. but that's for a stock 10 bolt?

depending on what wheels you go with, make sure they fit around the calipers.

i dont know if your rear is differant, but usually you would need 7.5in BS with 15x10's. 7 would work, just not possitive if it will tuck all the way in the wheel well.

OK but what BS will leave 15x10 rims with the center in exactly the same location as 17x11" +50mm rims?

15x10-7.5bs. Do a search to see pics and decide and judge for yourself to see how it looks to you. I run a 15x10 Weld Draglites on MT325/50 ET Street radials. See video below. Good luck, hope this help.

I've seen only 2 rims that are 15x10 with 7.5" BS, not much choice cost the same also

Offset conversion is not an exaction science. Bead width varies from manufacture to manufacture. You've got one number incorrect, you needed to use 11" instead which would put you at ~7.5".

You need to measure your actual backspace, then adjust for the smaller wheel if you want to be exact. Backspace numbers referenced is rounded many times as well...

We have pages of cars with our Bogart drag wheels...so if you like how they sit, don't be concerned with backspace or offset numbers. We can move our centers 1/2" at a time...so if you see a picture you wished tucked more or less...just let me know and I'd try to build it accordingly to meet your goals. We build the wheels for the application. I can build the wheels for the OEM LS1 brake configuration.

Our gallery link is listed below.

We do not use PM's you need to fill out the form using the link below. This tells me what you have and how I need to build the wheel.

We do not offer inexpensive options, our wheels are USA custom built using high-end materials. I'd suggest prostars if you're looking for an economy style wheel.
