Default Worse gas mileage bigger tires?

This might seem like a dumb question but my Uncle says putting zr1 wheels with a 275 width in the front and a 315 width in the rear will drop my gas mileage. I say that 4 cm more width over stock in the rear isn't a drastic enough change to show a noticable difference, especially the way we drive our cars.

And are zr1 wheels lighter than stock ws6 wheels? I just don't know.

Gona do it anyway, just wondering if anyone knew.

Default

ZR1 are a little heavier, and the 315 will affect gas somewhat but wont kill your gas mileage maybe a 2 MPG drop.
