Default Who has ET Streets on Late Model Camaro Rims

I have tubes and tires to put on my Salad Shooter wheels and I've see them done. I was wondering who has that setup and how does it work for you. Also should I run a different rim? What size or brand "Cheap"?

I had em on mine
I didn't enjoy them. Less sidewall , walked around too muchat top end for my liking to keep em. I was running them at 20lbs. They were 28x10.5x 16. I did not gain anything in times, or MPH. So went back to drag radials and a 26 height

yah, i have 27 10.5 16 and they are interesting on the street, unless your loading your trans to 4500 or dumping the clutch at 5000 with a lot of power, the radials are better.

The problem I think Im going to have is finding a place that will put the tube in also. I noticed that the tubes valve stem doesn't go through the hole.. I think I will have to drill it out a little bit.

I have run a couple pairs of et streets without tubes. The slowly leak air when stored, but not other problems so far. I am running 26/10.5/16's right now.

you don't need the tube. many people don't even run tubes in full on slicks. If you do run tubes though you will have to run rim screws. If you don't the tire till rotate on the rim and tear the valve stem out of the tube. I have run a couple sets of ET streets on stock 16" rims and have never used a tube.

What about a full slick ET Drags. Can your run those w/out tubes? How low of psi can you go w/out getting into trouble? Thinking about going to full slicks.

Yes you can run full on slicks with no tubes. They will tend to be less stable at speed though. I've personally run 16 psi in Mt ET drags with no problems but that was only a mid 11 sec car. The only problem you may have is they will not hold air as well. Also if the tire turns on the rim you will have to run screws and at times screwed rims end up leaking air easily so then tubes would be needed. Check in drag racing tech section or post up in there for the best response.

Are these what the O.P. is talking about? 97ish-02 16x8 Camaro Rims

I have in the past ran the salad shooters with an ET Street, but could not tube it for the valve steam is in a difficult place to round out and then get the 'nut' flush on the rim.

20lbs? go down to 12-14, even without a tube it'll be fine
