Default Guys with 19's, I have some questions.

I am running some Foose 19" Speedsters I want to know what size tire you are running. My rim is 8.5" wide and my tires are 235/35/19...I have NO protection on the rim what so ever, I nicked a curb the other day and put some rash on the rim. I was pissed! Let alone it looks stupid as can be not having any meat in the back. And I dont really think it is very good being able to spin the tires with traction control on. What size tire do you guys suggest?

Thanks!

You should at least have 245 on an 8.5" wheel. A 255 will give you more protection and probably look a little better. My 19s are 11" wide and I'm running a 295.

I was looking up some tire prices online for 19's WOW!!! Expensive. The guy I bought the car from got a tire/wheel package, he didnt really have any say on the size of tires he wanted but, yes the 235s are so skinny....sigh...

i would go 245s up front and 255s or 265s out back.
Should have tried to get a staggered set with 9.5s out back then you could run 275s or bigger

Well that's why 19's don't fit with f-bodies IMO, don't give me wrong I love the look of 19's on our cars, but they suck when it comes to comfort and stuff, I used to have 19's on my previous Camaro and I couldn't stand the ride with skinny tires, sold'em quickly, anyways, good luck.
