Just bought BBS LM's for 02 Z28! Looking for some advice, HELP
Hello,
This is my first post here, I've had my 2002 Z28 for a couple months, 1 of which has been in the body shop! Live and learn!
While waiting I picked up these wheels. I didn't have the opportunity to fully research them, so I bought them while being ready to resell them if they don't fit.
I hope this works because these wheels look great to me!
Fronts are 17x9's 52 offset
Rears are 18x10 54 offset
Here is a link to the auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN:IT&ih=005
I get them today via UPS
I was considering the following tires:
F 265 40 17 or 275?
R 295 35 18
Can anyone give me your opinions of these tires, not only for fitment but in general? One retailer said the rear should be OK but I should go with 255 45 17 in front because of the offset...
Do you think the 295 is too wide for the 10" rim? I had someone tell me these (18" rear) won't fit on my car.
THANKS for any advice! I know this is a long rambling post but any help is GREATLY appreciated.

First of all, welcome.
Second, check this link out, as I think you'll find it answers most, if not all, of your questions.

And a 295/35/18 will definitely fit a 10" rim. It's what I run and I have no issues. You MIGHT have to take a large hammer to the inside of your fender wells and roll the lip on the outer edge of the fender, especially if you're lowered. This is known as the BFH mod (Big F*cking Hammer). When I ran 17x9.5" wheels, I ran 275/40/17's with no issues at all. The tire manufacturers generally list their recommended wheel size, and I highly suggest you adhere to them, for safety reasons.

Great! Thanks for the fast reply.
So If I get it right I won't have much trouble putting an 18" by 10" wheel in the rear.
Thanks again. I'll put up a picture when I have it done.

I have these wheels on my 02 camaro LE convertible. I'm running 275/40r 17 in fornt and 295/35r 18 in back, very slight rub in rear. These wheels were originally made by BBS for the 02-03 c5 vettes. Didn't sell that great so they stopped making them for chevy's. They still make them, but not for the chevy(go to tirerack). Just bought the car so i don't have pics yet to show you. I actually have the original glossy brochure from BBS showing the wheels for that year. If you want to PM me your e-mail address, i'll scan in the brochure and e-mail it back to you.
