Default stuck between nittos and bfg radials

i've done may searches and once again come up with many very different answers lol I want drag radials for my BONE STOCK 2002 trans am ws6 m6. the car is my daily driver and will receive bolt ons later but i cant launch the car without spinning the street tires. Whats a better radial? they are both about the same price and have good/bad reviews so from personal experience which should i get? they also have to be 275/40/17 unless i can go bigger on my stock ws6 wheels. mt's are out of the ? because i hear horrible tread life and bad in rain, i put 100+miles in one WEEKEND thats why i want either nitto or bfg. also can you give me the part number or the exact product name on whichever tire because both companies have multiple radials and i dont want to order the wrong one lol. thanks alot guys. and i race at atco in nj if that info is needed to help decide.

If your putting a lot of miles on the car as far as traveling I wouldn't recommend getting and drag radial, especially if your doing a lot of hway driving. I used to run nitto dr's on my SS when I was in school, and all that hway driving made the middle bald out very quickly (yes I did maintain proper psi in tires at all times). I still have my street radial Nitto's on the front of my car and they are almost 2 years old with lots of tread left, BFG radials are great also, the vredestein tires sold here have had great reviews and prices are reasonable.

I'm going to agree with 1fastls1ss

BFG's will last a whole lot of no time at all on the street. They are way too soft a tire and you will get I imagine no more than 8,000 miles out of them if you're lucky. The Nitto's from what I hear when people use them as daily driving tires, get 10,000 - 20,000 miles out of them depending on how often you race.

So if you must get one of these for a daily driving tire, the Nitto would be better. They are going to last longer, and still hook up good when you need them to. The BFG's will hook better, but I would only recommend them for a weekend car, or track car. Or do what a lot of people do and get an extra set of rims to put the drag radials on and just switch the tires around before you hit the track.

BFGs are a bad idea if you're worried about the miles you'll put on them. They are better for mileage than the M/Ts but they are still only going to give you have the life that a Nitto will. For a street car that gets driven as much as yours, Nitto is the only choice. It's also much more safe in the rain. Nittos will hook pretty good on the street, especially since your car is stock. BFGs would be overkill and you'd be giving up tread life for traction abilities that you shouldn't need

which nittos than? and as long as i get around 10,000 id be happy i read people getting almost 10,000 average and hooking up hard thats why i like the bfg's and i putt around in the rain as it is so i'm not too worried about that, id go with the mt's if it wasnt for the fact that i've heard NO one has seen over 5,000 miles with the mt's i get an average of 1200 miles a month so i can buy tires every 7-8months not a big deal if i'm dead hooking lol. I'm a fan of overkill as long as its not gay lights or anything else ricey.

If you need a longer lasting tire, get the Nitto's or a street tire.

this damn comp wont even let me see your pic, it just wont show up. ill check it out when i get home and as long as the bfg's will get me close to 10k miles thats all i need. with street tires i'm to tempted to smokem so i burn em up in less than 4months lol. the radials will keep me from spinnen on street because ill think about em first and will hook up much better on the track. I'm just leary about nittos because from reading other posts i hear more bad than good more people sayin they spin more than bfg's

im looking into nittos also. but i would really like to prefer a better street tire that will last longer and hook somewhat just as good.
