Default Which drag radial tire to put on 9.5' wide rim???

I'm looking for drag radial tires to put on my 99 corvette rear wheels which are 9.5 inches wide. Here are my three choices.

285/35R-18 Nitto NT555R

275/35R-18 BFGoodrich G-Force

265/40R-18 MICKEY THOMPSON ET STREET

Need some opinions.

If you found MT With that size then buy it for sure its the best traction tire.

MT 265 is bigger than Nitto 285 or the same size.
Nittos are the best for daily drive and live longer.

Yes they do sell the MT at that size. Check out the link to Summit Racing or Ebay.

The Mickey's will range wider than other tires, they won't last as long but if you want a tire that "works" get the Mickey!

Well if the MT are the best tire for grip out of the three, I'm all for it. Besides I don't think the wear life is that bad compare to the other two tires. I just need something to drive to the track, race, drive back home, take the drag tires off and throw my street tires back on when I'm done. I race like once a month or once every two months anyways.

If all you're getting them for is the track, then I'd definitely go for the MT.

Yea, no offense but I like to play it safe. Going over 285 on a 9.5' wide rim is not a good idea.

I'd go for the M/T followed by the BFG's as they are both made in the US.
