Default American Racing Rebel

I have been trying to get the 17x9, 18x9, or 18x10 black Rebels, but no one will sell them to me, (Have not tried TomzWheels yet) the wheel dealers have all told me that the offset is not enough for the front. Two of them even called there American Racing rep and they he them that they would not fit a 2001 WS6, I needed a +31 offset and they only come in +25.

How did every one get theres to fit, are you using spacers? The only other wheels that I can find that I kind of like would be Speedy Infernos 18x8, but would rather have the Rebels.

Discount Tire can't get them, apparently being discontinued, other websites have Fitment Guarantees, and this is why they won't sell them to me. I don't want to get them if they realty don't fit.

Please help, I really need to know what you all did and what kinds of problems you had with these wheels.

I ordered mine (17's) from TomZ. Just call them, tell them what you're wanting and for what car and they'll get you hooked up.

I would order them quick b/c I called Tomzwheels for pricing on the chrome wheels and the lady that answered me told me that they were not available b/c they were discontinued. I had already sent them a message via ls1tech PM and I got an answer after the phone call. A rep told me that they had chrome ones left and he sold me a set yesterday. If you want a set, I would order them quickly.

Default Tires

Called TomzWheels, they only have the fronts or the rears don't remember, but would have to see if they could get the others, if I want to try and get them.

What size tires are you running?

I want the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season 275/35/18.

I do some autocross, and I'm just worried about rubbing, I had someone also tell me that the wrong offset could cause warping of the rims, I don't know about this, sounds odd to me.

Wish it was not so hard to get answers from the dealers. Anyone in Arizona have these wheels, I would love to check them out.

Does any one know who's car this is? Except for the tires, this is the setup I'm looking at. Of course if I can't get the 18s I may try for the 17s.

Ive been in contact with Tomz for the past week or so. And they do not have any of the 18x10's in. They wont for a few weeks. Ill be getting 18x10 on all fours with either
2@ 275/35/18 and 2@ 295/35/18 [Vredestein ]
or
4 @ 285/35/18 [nittos]
Depends on the brand that go with or if i just decide i want to rotate tires at some point
They told me they have never actually had a customer order 18x10's all the way around but ive talked to a few guys on here that have no issues with it at all. So im gonna go for, as long as u have a legitimate reason behind your reason for the sizes they are good to sale them.

Default Interesting find!

I don't remember seeing this on the site the other day. However I can't find anyone that has some Black Rebels for sale.

http://www.americanracing.com/appguide/index.asp

Choose FIREBRD,TRNS-AM(OPT.REAR) 16"

It says: Fits!

# 18X10 REBEL CHR 5X4.75 +41

# 18X9 REBEL CHR 5X4.75 +25

But if your Choose FIREBIRD, TRANS AM 16X7.5 +55

It only says: Fits.

20X8.5 REBEL GB 5X4.75 +35

Default AR Rebels

You can order these from DT and I would go with 18/9 up front and 18/10s out back with 275/35/18 and 295/18s.

Checked with Discount tire first, they can't get them anymore, and don't carry them in stock. Also checked with a local BigO, they are clueless, they had a 20 inch chrome one on the wall and did not even know until I pointed it out.

If I can't find any Rebels I may go with:

Ruff Racing R278 18x8.5 F and 18x9.5 R

or

Helo HE834 18x8 F and 18x10 R

I also noticed that the Motegi Touge Black w/Mach Lip look just like the AR Rebels, Looks like they are the part of the same company really. However I don't think Motegi makes our bolt pattern.

I too had a problem with people selling these to me last year when I bought them. I have the 18x9 with 25mm offset and 18x10 with (41mm offset I think on there rears). For tires BFG KDW NT 275/35/18 front & 295/35/18 rear. My fronts rub the inner fender just a little at close to full turn on the wheel(nothing to worry about).

My set is chrome with only a few hundred miles on them (prbably around 300 miles), I would be willing to sell them, but I would want really close to new price though. PM me if anyone is interested.
