Talking From "Grandpa" to "Hotrod" with a wheel swap

I recently picked up a 1968 Camaro RS to fix up and cruise around in. It isn't the most popular color combo, with its Lemans blue paint over blue interior combo. I'd say it was looking pretty Grandpa-like with the factory 14-inch wheels. Yesterday I installed a set of 17" Boyd Coddington "Timeless 5" billet wheels on it that I had from another car. The difference in overall attitude is amazing, just from changing the wheels.

Before: ~yawn~

After: CooL!

Just another example of how WHEELS are the most important aspect of a vehicle when it comes to an overall theme or attitude you want the car to have.

Nice wheels. On that car though, I actually prefer the stock rallys.

Even more amazing is what putting the top down will do, taking the picture in sunlight at dusk rather than under a grey sky, with roadway and trees in background instead of metal garage doors, etc.

Is that your garage in the background or just your personal storage unit?

You are a sucker for 5 star wheels too.

I'd have kept the original factory steel wheels and had them painted the body color keeping the out rings and the center hubs the way they are. I've got a feeling those aftermarket wheels will look dated after a while. Car looks good though.
