Default Hoosier DR or MT DR?

Planning on buying some DR's here really soon.

I'm thinking about going with the Hoosier's but I just want to know what others have thought about them/ what they like better.

whats the best 60's you have gotten while running them?
(if mods arent in sig list them)
thanks

I predict better luck with the hoosier DRs due to their softer sidewalls. That or a true ET street will do better with an M6. When you're hittin the tires as hard as a 5K+ rpm dump does, sidewall flex is nice to have.

I have no experience with the Hoosiers but I know that you won't be disappointed with the MTs. I have an M6 with 423 RWHP and have pulled 1.6x 60s with a suspension that is decent at best. With a properly prepped track I've dumped the clutch at 5k RPM and dead hooked. Probably could have done higher but didn't have time for any more runs that day. Hopefully someone with the Hoosiers chimes in soon.

I'm wanting to cut the best 60's I can with what I have now for suspension. The track I go to isn't preped all that great. It's kinda a ran down track really. I might end up driving all the was to Tulsa, OK to race.

I have hoosiers waiting to be mounted now. Unfortunately the car wont be done for a couple months. Just doing a lil here and there. I dont think you can go wrong either way. People were headin the hoosier route due to the MT backorder.

I use to run a set of 255/50/16 MT DR's on stock 16" wheels and run the 60's in my sig all day long with it. Now I have a set of Bogart RT's with 26x10.50x15 (I think thats the size) ET Streets for teh track. I have not been to the track yet to try these out.

On the street I run a 315 Hoosier DR and hook's like a SOB for being on the street. I floored it the other day and actually lost my stomoch like I do on the track. So, I know it was hooking.

Either one I think you will be just fine with.

ill just run one on each side (i'm kidding)

Damn.. this isn't an easy choice. but I might run the MT's on the stock wheels then get some hoosier's for a 15x10 wheel.

Keep in mind I was running 50's.. So, it might look funny if its lowered and has some 40's on the front. I used those for drag only.

Well, you picked the right track! Tulsa Raceway Park is definitely the best one in OK. Thunder Valley in noble is very inconsistent with prep and usually sucks compared to tulsa.

Either tire will hook, but you'll have better luck on the hoosiers on the street from a stop/1st gear roll.

either way u will be good... only difference is if u plan on running these tires on the street at all... the hoosiers will wear really quick because of the softer tread

well since your a m6 car and your looking for something for the track i wouldnt recomend a drag radial for launching at all. Even mt wont recomend that for a manual car i would get an et street or an et drag. I know some are gonna say they do it on drag radials with there m6 but 1.7s are not that impressive to me so if that is all your looking for and your still on a 10 bolt then go drag radial. Just my $.02

being a stick shift, and you saying the track isnt all that great, i dont think the mt radial is right for you.
i have an auto, and cut the same 60ft with either tire. the hoosier DR may benefit you in the fact it has a softer sidewall.
i would go with a qtp or a et street or another track.
good luck!
