Default No more quality 315/35/17 radials??

Looks like the G-Force T/A KD's are no longer made and the Eagle GS-D3's are on national backorder...

What are our options if we don't want to wait for the D3's to replen if we want a decent radial?

Depending on what I find out about the TTM's and my C5 brakes, I might possibly have a pair of Brand New KD's 315/35/17 for you.... cost would be $520+ shipping. I should know soon...I hope. LMK if your interested in them.

Thanks

Honestly, there really aren't any other GOOD options.. all the other tires just don't compare... The next best thing IMO would be some Nitto Drag Radials at $175 a piece.. They will hook up a little better than the GSD3's/BFGs.

Right, but I'm looking for a tire that will hold up for the corners.. and one that is made of radial/street compound.

The Nitto 555's would probably be the next best thing... but I would just wait

..but keep in mind, if you buy anything else but those two you mentioned you are basically going to end up buying the Mustang GT instead of waiting for the Cobra. (I guess I put this tire comparison in car terminology)

Right but I really want tires by middle of next week as I want to take my car on an MFBA cruise.

I guess I could put the vette wheels on the f-bod..

Wonder how long the GS-D3's will be on backorder.

Production time will be at least 3-4 weeks out according to the Goodyear tire dealer nearby me.... I actually have a pair of the 315s on backorder right now at 2 places ...

I have a used pair of Sumitomo 315s on my new wheels and they are just as bad as everyone says.... HORRIBLE..

GSD3s are worth ALMOST every penny you pay for them IMO..

What really sucks, is that the Goodyear stores nationwide are having a huge sale on all of their Goodyear Eagle lineup tires this weekend, and now I can't capitolize!

AGREED Sumitomo's= I love how some people try to argue how they love these tires or how "good" they are, I have had two of my friends now that almost wrecked their car cause of these cheap POS tires.... and yes they now how to drive they have been racing for years on the track, that is what saved their rides.
Anyway... tire selection does suck now because of BFG's discontinue and Goodyears backorder dilema

Sumitomo's are great for a DD and a light foot, but you have to realize what is under there and don't push your car. It's kinda like playing basketball in a cheap pair of shoes and wondering why your feet hurt. You pay for what you get!

I'm running them now and feel I got my $200, but I will go a different route next time. Probably Nitto's i've already been down the GSD3 road and I didn't get very much mileage out of them for the money. Yes great performing tire, but on a DD not in my budget. Both of my cars have never seen a race track or a street race so you have to see where i'm coming from.
