Quick Tire question, Come in and help
I just bought some OEM C6 Wheels. 18X8.5 front and 19x10 on back. I just ordered tires for them. 245/35/18 front and 285/35/19 back. I see a lot of people run a 40 to 45 sidewall on the front and a 30-35 sidewall on the back. Why the bigger sidewall on the front? I just ordered a 35 sidewall on the way aroudn so it looked even, is there anything wrong witht that?

Your fronts will be shorter than your rears.
The second number (35 series) is a percentage of the first number.
You have 35% of 245mm on your front tires (sidewall height) and 35% of 285mm on your rears.
A 245/40-18 will be about the same sidewall height as a 285/35-19 because of the percentages. However because of the 1" wheel size difference, the rears would still be 1" taller than the fronts.
Also OEM C6 wheels have a very high offset and will sit inside of your fender wells quite a bit.
