Default stock rims re-clearcoated

dose anyone kno where i can get this done? the rims dont shin as good any more and looks like it needs to be clearcoated?????

I guess it all depends on how handy you are, or how much money you want to spend. I seem to recall that a company called Busch made a wheel stripping product, as well as a clear coating to put on after the wheels were stripped. This was a DIY deal. The only place I ever saw it sold, however, was Eckler's Corvette parts.

There are some good paint strippers out there that will take that clear right off the wheels. Polish them up, get some good paint and save yourself some money. There was a DIY thread on this not too long ago with someone that stripped their stock wheels and polished them. They looked really good when he was done, but he didn't re-clear them.

Just my two cents....


Once stripped....leave them stripped. And polish them. They will look better for you.
