Default MT ET Drag Compound & screw questions

My car is 3800-3900 lbs with me in it. There are 3 compounds to choose from M5 L8 and L4, M5 is the hardest and has stiffest sidewall. This is what was recommended to me due to the weight of my car. Does this sound right? Sounds like to soft of a sidewall isnt good for a heavy car?
Also they recommend 24 screws per wheel?!!(12 inside 12 outside) That seems way overkill any opionions?

I am getting 26x10x15's.
Car is an auto with 3400 stall and 3.70's.
