Default Nitto 555 Extreme 315's (not drag radial)

Nitto's site says the 555 extreme (non drag) are wider that the 555R drag radial.

anybody ever buy the 555 extreme 315's??

are they fat??

site says the drags are 12.1 and the extreme is 12.5 but i have the drags and there not even 12 inches wide. Again this is for a 315/35/17

anybody have the non-drag 555??

Nitto's are notorious for running narrower than other tires of the same "size". I think those will probably run more like a 295 sectional width.

are the goodyear gsd3s back in stock??? I have been trying to get ahold of some since last november and they have been on backorder... at least i have had a set of BFG KDs on hand in case the goodyears never come back out.

i have the 315 nitto drags on now and they are damn skinny, the regular 555 in the 315 size looks even more sissy. but the options suck *** right now so i feel your pain.

Those do look wider than the DR's, surely the wide tread blocks don't help the DR's 'appear' any wider.

I have the 555 extremes in the 315 and think they look good, deff. wider then the drag radials in 315. I really like them, they are nice and sticky and handle well in the rain, after these wear out I will deff. get another set of them, for the price I think they are great!

you should be fine... its hardly any difference if at all. Those pics above make them look alot wider bc the car had a nice drop on it...the lower the car the wider the tires appear to look. lol or maybe im the only who sees it like that? Are you at stock suspension??

The Nitto NT555 Extreme's are infact wider than the DR's. I put some on my old rims after taking off the 315 DR's and they are a lot wider and look tons better than the DR's.

Yeah im still at stock ride height....seems like everyone is saying the Extreme's are wider but if the drags are 12.1 and the extremes are 12.5 like the OP said thats not a whole lot of difference....less than a half inch. Im just thinking of swapping to have a lil more sidewall bulge to the tires (if it would even make much difference???)

Would the 555 Extremes be easier on the rear end as opposed to the drags or does it not really make much difference?? Are the drags alot more sticky compared to the regular 555???
