All season tire advice
Hoping you guys can give some advice, I need a good all season tire. The car will not see snow, will see a little ice, mainly rain. I want something that still performs reasonably well in the dry. What are you guys running ? btw this is my daily driver. I'm still running the factory Eagle RS-As now, but they're old and don't hook for **** despite the fact they still have plenty of tread left.
Help please

Well, they suck in snow regardless of the tires, so I wouldn't get too confident in the snow period. General Exclaim UHP's are actually M+S, might be a decent option for you. BF Goodrich just released a a/s tire as well. If or when I get 17"s, I'll most likely end up with the Sumitomo HTRZ 3's. If you're on 16's, the Bridestone RE960's are supposed to be awesome.

Thanks for the help so far. Luckily I wont be driving in snow at all unless the weather gets really wild. I pretty much just see rain and mild ice once in a while. I've been thinking about the General Exclaim UHPs and the BFG Super Sport A/S, glad to hear these are alright. I'd love to get a little more feedback on the BFGs and the Generals if anybody's running them.

I've been running the BFG SuperSports on a 95 Impala SS for 2 years no problems....the Traction T/A's have been on my Turbo Buick for 3 years and 40K miles with pretty much no issues except for they like rotating a little more frequently (but also no snow)

I have the BFG SS A/S and am very happy with them as a DD tire for all kinds of weather - KS gets it all. Very good in the wet, reasonably sticky in the dry, and comfortable ride. I had KDWS before and they are a hard-riding tire. I like the SS A/S much more. KDWS maybe did a little better in snow; I haven't seen too much of it with the A/S yet.

A good sub for the higher priced tires that do well and aren't going to break your bank but still be a very good tire is the Kumho Ecsta ASX. They are very good. A couple of my buddies run them and couldn't be happier. Never owned them since I go for UHP tires but having driven on them in a head and mild cam'd Z28 in the rain, couldn't have been more impressed.

I have driven with them in some pretty bad rain and they work well.
They have a decent wear rating also.

+1 on the BFG SS A/S! I had them on my camaro before I sold it and absolutely loved them. I will be getting them for my TA in a week or two. Plus, with the 400 tread wear rating, they will last quite a while.
