Default Nexen Tires 275/40/17 Cheap

I Just Had 4 Brand New Nexen 3000 Tires Put On For $75 Each. So Far So Good. I Put 1,000 Miles On Them And Had It Up To Speeds Of 130mph. I Corner Very Hard And Drive In Heavy Rains At Times. No Complaints. I Thought If I Did Not Like Them I Would Just Burn Them Off.:d Anybody Else Try These Tires Yet?????

I got a pair of them on ebay for $190 shipped. Haven't drove on them much but they look good and ride decent. The one thing i have noticed about them is they develop flat spots badly in cold weather. If i let my car sit for a day between driving it, it vibrates the steering wheels for the first mile or two untill its evened back out.

I have the Nexan 3000's on my car, and I really do not like them at all. They are definitely not a performance tire. Thinking about taking them to the strip? unless you're launching at 900 rpms, you are going to break them loose. thinking about autocrossing them? better be prepared to feel like you are on ice. They dont like to hook at all.

From what I've heard, Nexens are "cheap", while Sumitomos are "inexpensive". There IS a difference.

Neither one hook up. Only buy them if you are looking for a daily driver tire.

My buddy has Sumi's in the same size as my Nexens and they are just as bad.

I have heard that Riken Raptors RZ are pretty good for a cheap tire and they have a good looking tread design too. They are around 100 a piece

Anyone else have this problem?
What if your car sits all winter like mine.Do flat spots ever become permenant?
I just bought these tires and they have less than 10 miles on them. They came with wheel package.

I let me car sit for a month of so right after i bought it and the flat spots didn't go away till driving in twice (short trips to town about 5-10miles). I have never had another tire do that before. My old Kumhos sat for almost a year once (on my camaro) and didn't have an issue at all.

Honestly if i had it to do over i would buy the Kumhos again... these Nexens just dont seem like near as good.

Yeah i think they will go away... im still driving on mine... just seems like if i let it set for a few days there is a vibration in the steering wheel for the first few miles.
