Default ZR1s... which rear size?

Looking to pick up some Black Faced ZR1s and dump my '00 WS6 wheels. Question is, 11" rear or 9" (or is it 9.5") rear? I had 11s in the past and they are nice, but **** me they some bulky SOBs. I was worried that the car would look emaciated with the thinner WS6 wheels after coming from 11" ZR1s, but was surprised that with the 275 they still give the car a somewhat broad stance in the rear. Just looking for some opinions, mostly from guys who may have had both and have a preference. Thanks.

a lot of people like the looks of the 315's. I for one do not. They just look oversized and bulky to me. I like the look of the 17x9.5's all around.

I too am not a huge fan of 11" wheels and 315's . . . On a Camaro, IMHO they do not fit. On a Firebird one can get away with it. Which is weird, cause my 10.5" wide wheels with 295's fit perfect in my personal opinion. . . . . . . it's all in the offsets to be honest.

Four identical wheels with four identical tires is a easy and safe solution.

So a 17x9.5 with a 38mm offset will work on all for corners of a trans am??

I agree, the 11 craze is not my thing. I had some for a while. I had chrome ZR1's with 50mm offset. The looked good but were heavy as hell. I liked it best when I had my first set of chrome 10 spokes and the BFG Comp TA ZR 275's on it. I loved that tire and tread design. I think I got 30,000 hard miles out of them.

Really... good to know, as I'm due for 2 275 tires.

And I agree, I had polished ZR1s and loved 'em, but as I was putting them on I thought, **** me... these are some heavy SOBs. I like the overall appearance of the car more now with the by comparison small 275s all around. Go figure. Thanks for the input guys.

i was up in the air on the 9.5 or 11's in the rear. i think the 9.5 can look better because it will tuck up just nicely. true, some 315 look good on some cars. there are some guys on here and it just looks too big.

How about some 18 x 9.5 rear ZR1 wheels? Don't tell me they don't make them, because I have a set of 4!

Thanks for the responses, ordered 9.5 all around today.

Bill, I know I had seen the 18s before, they look damn good! Where did you find yours, ebay?
