Default OEM Vette Y2K's FRONT (17X8.5) & REAR (18X9.5)

Swapping a set of these over to my stock '02 SS in the very near future. Need to know what is required to make the rims in title fit flush like stock...i.e. BFH (Big F* Hammer), Spacers, Ect.

I plan to have the following tire application:

Nitto 555 Extreme 275-40-17 FRONT
Nitto 555R DR's 285-35-18 REAR

After 1hr of using the search I could not find anything but mixed reviews and personal prefrence answers to my question. I need someone with experience. I am meetin a guy over 2hrs. away to have these mounted so I want to be certain I have the right parts for a seamless application. - Thanks in advance!

Consider these are OEM VETTE wheels. These are not stock 9.5 wide rims made for a an '02 SS. The backspacing is what has me biting my nails.

Front tire is too big. 275/40ZR17 require a 9" minimum wheel.

A 245/45ZR17 (Match OEM diameter) is ideal. A 265/45ZR17 would be acceptable.

Out back a 275/35ZR18 (Matches OEM diameter) is ideal. A 285/35ZR18 would be acceptable too.

Front wheels should ahve a 56 mm offset. Will fit fine, but tucked in. The Rear wheels should ahve a 63 mm offset. They will fit with some BFH or better yet get a spacer / adapter with onlger studs.

Based on the above can someone elighten me as to the size spacer/studs I NEED (Not a guess recommendation). Sorry I have seen from a 1"-2" spacer after using search and no one has a definate answer. I want postive closure on this deal. = DRIVE AWAY HAPPY!

Using data from the "stickie" . . . one can run 9.5" wide wheels with a 38 mm offset . . . So do the math:

63 mm - 38 mm = 25 mm or ~1" . . . so you can run a spacer or adapter of your choice anywhere between 25 mm (~1") or smaller . . .

I'm using the same setup with a 1.25" adapter in the rear and nothing in the front.

Looks like I am completing this deal next weekend. After reviewing some opinions it looks like I am settling for some light BFH modding to get the spacing I need on the inside of the wheel well. Thanks you again to all that commented.

I had a set & had zero issues with them. Bolted right up & looked great.
