Default Biggest tire Size I can go on 17" WS6 Wheels?

Hey guys,

Like the title says, what's the biggest tire size I can put on my stock 17" WS6 Wheels? Right now I have 275/40/17's. But I just put air shocks in and the back is lifted up, inviting me to some more room

So how big can I SAFELY go? Also do any drag radials do very well in the rain? I have BFG radials on now but i'm runnin' outta tread and I really like how sticky they are, but my car's gonna be a DD. Any tire suggestions would be nice, thanks guys!

I want badass lookin' tires out back.. i wanna show I mean business

Because 275/285 is the PROPER size for 9.5" wheels. If you want wider tires, get wider wheels....

I'm probably either going to get 275 DR's again.. Or radial tires. can someone suggest a radial tire?

Thanks

By radial....you mean street tire?

Drag radials (like the MT DR) are radials as well. And will GRAB nicely.

285/40-17 in Nitto NT555s. Ran em that way for a while, with no issues at all.

Or, get the stock wheels widened(Got a set in the garage that are 11") and run 315/35-17s.

The largest you can safely go with is a 285.

NOTE: 315 series tires DO NOT fit 9" or 9.5" wheels. It will not be discussed any thread posting will be edited, locked or deleted.

In Indy, checking out the new Camaro . . . but . .

275/40ZR17 IS the PERFECT tire for your stock 17" x 9" wheels.

A 285/40ZR17 is acceptable . . . end of discussion.
