Torn between the 17 x 9.5" or 17 x 11" Torq-Thrust II
I'm about to order a set of Torq-Thurst II's for my 95 camaro. I like the look of 315's but I'm not sure if they are worth the hassle of rolling the fenders or doing the BFH mod. So should I stick with 17 x 9.5" all around or order the 17x11" rims for the rear? Or will I get lucky and wont have to do the mods with the Torq-Thrusts! From what I read, it seems that other kinds of rims require the mods, but never read of the Torq-Thrust requiring the mods.. and also I plan to lower her in the future. Thanks

You might get lucky you might not. cars are different. are you lowered any? any suspension mods?
Id personally go with the 17x11 out back because in time you will regret not getting them. alot of people have. either way good luck and post pictures once you get them on

Personally I would go with 17x9.5 and then get a set of 15x10 wheels for drag radials.
I think the 17x11 looks goofy on the Camaro. The Trans Am can pull it off with the wider quarter panels; but IMO the Camaro can not. Looks much cleaner with 9.5" all the way around plus you can rotate the tires!!!

Something else to consider: 17x11 wheels weigh more. That might not seem like a big deal, but when you add a pound of rotational mass, that's like adding seven pounds anywhere else on the car.
If your'e going strictly for looks, go with 17x11.
If you're more concerned about quarter mile times, go with 17x9.5. Better yet, get a separate set of wheels/tires just for drag racing.
Personal experience: I dyno'd 333rwhp with my stock snowflakes. About a year later, on the same dyno, I made 320rwhp. All I did was replace my stock snowflakes with a set of 17x11 ZR1s with GSD3s. I'll give or take a few hp for atmospheric conditions, heat, etc., but a difference of 13 hp is pretty sizeable.

I've heard somewhere of a 3-4 mph loss in the 1/4 with 315/11" vs 275/9.5".
And in all reality a 315 is not going to hook that much better then a 275 on 17" wheels.
I'd put money on you could hook better with 255/60/16 then 315/35/17 tires.
Get a 2nd set of 15" wheels when you want to play/hook, and run 275 street tires all the way around for normal street duty. Absolutely the best of both worlds.

to the OP, im in the same boat as well. everybody loves the 11's out back which does look mean on some cars. i do have to agree i think it does look better on the T/A with the 315 in the rear. im honestly looking at doing the 17X9.5 all the way around. did u see the latest issue of GMTHP with that maroon SS. hes running 17x9.5 all the way around with 275 goodyear F1 and his car looks really sharp.i plan on going with the same exact setup. i want the tires to just tuck up with the fender not stick out. plus its cheaper to go with 275 tires instead of 315. plus u can rotate yur tires around if u kept the same size tires too.

I had 315/35r17 MT ET Streets on 17x11 TT2s on my old 94 Z28 and they never rubbed or touched the fender at all at stock height. Never had to do any clearancing either. They actually sat flush with the fender, not like the 315s above.

My personal opinion is that camaro's look goofy with skinny tires. Some 315's would look badass for sure and it depends on how low you plan on having your car. I think an inch would give you little to no rub. That red camaro looks sweet but in the end it's what you want to do because like they said you won't be able to rotate the tires.
