We already know how the new C7 Stingray stacks up against the older C6 Corvette on paper, but how about in the real world? Well, here’s a firsthand look at how a bone stock C7 stacks up against a C6 Z51 Coupe with (based on the wheels) what looks like an LS2 under the hood. The C6 in question is stock, save for intake and exhaust, so lets assume it has an additional 25 HP at the wheels, roughly. Either way, it wasn’t enough, as the new C7 walks it pretty good.
We can’t wait to see how a modded C7 stacks up against the competition. My guess is a C7 with full bolt-ons, a cam and ported heads is going to drag a lot of cars. Do you think the new LT1 will hold its own with some mods? Place your bets.
