Camaro ZL1 1LE proves its worth around the Nordschleife.

The 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE is a seriously bad ass ride. We have talked about what the 1LE Extreme Track Package is comprised of, and how it helps the super Chevy. In short, a 650 horsepower LT4 engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission powers it. A big wing and other aerodynamic elements work with the massive Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R tires to keep it stuck to the ground. Multimatic DSSV (dynamic suspension spool valve) race shocks control wheel motion and when paired with an adjustable “coil-over” type suspension and an adjustable rear anti-sway bar make this the best handling Camaro ever.

Chevrolet isn’t kidding about it’s performance cars, having taken most of them to the Nurburgring and testing and hot laps. Now, the company has released the uncut video of the ZL1 1LE on track. The 14 mile track is equal parts race circuit and back road, making for a truly wild lap. Chevy’s driver bangs gears with the 6-speed transmission and saws at the wheel like crazy. A 10/10ths lap around the ‘Ring is no joke.

The end result is an astounding 7 minute, 16 second lap. The video is mesmerizing, watch it and pick your jaw up off the floor once it’s over.
