Shock is just one new color of an available five for 2019 Camaro.

The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, with it’s new redesign, has been a polarizing vehicle, despite only just having gone on sale. However, the cars are still coming, despite some public outrage, and, if Chevy has anything to do with it, they will be coming out swinging. The revised color palette confirms that much.

Mechanically, the 2019 Camaro is much the same as its 2018 counterpart, and the changes are mostly skin deep, with new front and rear fascias, lighting and wheels. As we have seen, other than the poor outward visibility, this is a good thing.

this latest color-related news from Chevrolet comes just days before the annual SEMA show. This particular Shock-ified 2019 Camaro will be on display at the show. In addition to the color, this Camaro will be rocking a hoist of available OEM accessories sold directly though Chevrolet dealerships, or online. While some of these accessories are basic aesthetic upgrades like a “second-generation” ground effects kit, a black wing spoiler, fuel door with exposed carbon-fiber insert, or black Camaro fender badges, there are also some go-fast goodies included. Many of this seem to be Camaro 1LE-inspired upgrades, like “50-state-legal cold-air induction kits, Recaro performance seats, Brembo six-piston front brake upgrade kit and 1LE suspension components.” The Camaro SS 1LE is one of our all-time favorites, so this is a positive, for us.

The SEMA upgrades are one thing, but Chevy also has officially announced the 2019 Camaro color palette. Five colors have been announced, including Shock (yellow), Riverside Blue Metallic, Shadow Grey Metallic and Satin Steel Grey Metallic. There is also a color called “Crush,” which we are guessing is red.

The 2019 Camaro has now officially gone on sale, and, as Chevrolet says, will be one of 10 vehicles on display at this year’s SEMA show. We will be attending SEMA and will report back with the goods.
