LS1 Powered Chevy Van Makes Smokin’ Donuts!
This classic Chevy van is, well, pretty ugly. Let’s just say that there is probably a reason that you don’t see them on the road anymore. Even so, this is not your ordinary van. This rig is powered by an LS1.
I guess this guy figured that if people liked to throw the engine under the hood of cars like the RX-7 or the 280z, then why not do the same with this old blue van? Whatever the reason, this thing goes like no other.
The video was filmed at Supernats in 2009, and the van is shown wreaking havoc. Within the first few seconds you see two wheels get off the ground.
Some of these donuts are deliberate, where as some appear to happen simply because the momentum of the rig won’t allow it to not go. Either way, after just a few seconds it becomes close to impossible to see the blue Chevy through all of the tire smoke.
The driver seems to be having a blast and the crowd seems excited. But who could blame them? This thing seems like it was born to endlessly spin.
