Bolt-on 5.0 Mustang GT vs. Stock 6G Camaro SS

Reminder: The sixth gen Camaro SS is faster than the Mustang GT 5.0.

However, the gap begins to close once that owner of that 5.0 adds bolt-ons, a tune, drag radials and gears. Against that is an otherwise bone stock Camaro SS with just a muffler delete. The resulting races are seriously close. Driver error and really, the driver mod, make or break the result. The two cars do several rolls, starting at what we would guess is 40mph. Taking off from a 40 roll the cars are neck and neck all the way up. Sometimes the Mustang driver gets the edge, and others the 6G takes it. Check out this amazing duel:

LS1tech has been talking about this for a while now. The resulting commentary in the forums is more entertaining than the video. Mustang apologists come out of the wood work, dyno graphs are flaunted and accusations of “cheating” and hidden mods come to light.
