V8 Superboats: The Coolest Thing You Can Do On Water

Back? Good. Who knew this was a thing?! V8 Superboats are now on my list of things I must drive in my lifetime. The watercraft in the clip is called Loose Cannon. It uses a 475 cubic-inch Chevy motor which is propelled further by a set of twin turbos and runs on methanol. As you can imagine, it’s fast. Actually, the boat makes over 1,600 horsepower, so it’s ridiculously fast.
That brings up another question: Why hasn’t V8 Superboats become a thing here in the United States?
