Wicked 1,000 HP Cadillac CTS-V Tears up the Streets of Oklahoma

By -

Surprisingly stock CTS-V rips off high 9-second passes with a full interior and even stock axles.

The Cadillac CTS-V remains an uber popular street and track racer, for obvious reasons. Heck, anything with an LS under the hood has that potential. But throw it in a four-door luxury machine, and you’ve got one heck of a sleeper, too. Well, unless you’re a street veteran, of course. We know all too well the immense potential of this platform, as we’ve seen it time and time again. Now, we’re seeing it again with the wild, 1,000 hp CTS-V that stars in this video from That Racing Channel.

At the strip, this Caddy hooks with zero drama and easily rips off 9.6-second passes at 140+ mph. And even better, its driver, Felicia Smith, is also the gal who works on it. “It’s a Max Effort LSA,” she says. “So it’s a ported blower by Boost Mode. It’s pullied upper and lower.”

All of this on a somewhat SBE, no doubt. “It is a stock bottom end, but we’re actually 377 cubic-inch. It’s got Diamond pistons in it and a cam by them. It has a trunk tank keeping it cool. We also do methanol injection and it is on E85. It’s tuned by Dustin Wyatt. The car is currently stock converter back, so no stall, no converter. It’s on a stock rear end and axles as well.”

The CTS-V makes 850 hp on motor alone, but Smith also has a 100 shot of nitrous when needed. Watching this thing rip off wheelies on the stock axles has us cringing a bit, admittedly. But hey, if they’re holding, why not? The car’s also a daily driver with a stock interior. And by what we can tell, it’s probably one heck of a fun car to grab groceries in.
