First pass off the trailer with the twin turbo 408
Hey guys so i finally got around to taking my car out to the track. I would say for the first time it ran pretty hard. The car is a full weight, full interior, no transbrake or 2 step car. I have a twin 6266 408 motor with a PTC converter 4l80e. The passes made were at 10psi and leaving in no boost at all. My buddy didnt bring my laptop so i couldnt adjust my fueling at all. These runs were made in 99* heat of the day on pump gas(91) and a 625ml nozzle of 50/50. My AFRs were ~10.9 the whole pass and ive got 16* of timing in it.
The best full pass i could get before getting told to slow down for no cage is a 10.0@147 with a 1.5x 60'. After getting the threat I made a few 1/8 mile passes that were 6.2x.
I have the car at the shop getting a cage certed for 8.50 and time to turn that boost up to about 20psi and let it eat and hopefully get into the 8s. I have a 2 step that I have installed for the next track day but I will see how much boost i can leave off the footbrake.
