Thanks a lot guys. I got it on the scale there. 3445# without me in it after this week's upgrades...im 200lbs.

My VFN Sunoco wide fiberglass hood should be here in about a month and I just found a great deal on some Strange front drag brakes. Probably shave another 50lbs off the nose with the addition of those two things...

With a bit more tuning and some suspension tweaking, and shedding some more weight...this is a high 9 second car. I'm ecstatic.

Because weather here has been so decent Lebanon Valley (my local track) is open for one more weekend. A test and tune this coming Saturday and Sunday. I can't go Saturday because i work but I'm thinking of going up Sunday if I can.

Just a couple changes in the Maximizer 4 nitrous tune itself not in the car's ECU...the new hoosiers, weather was better but not by a whole lot. DA was still around 1200+ by the time I got to make some runs. But the new front suspension and manual rack was installed and battery was moved to rear. Those were the major changes, I dropped a total of about 125lbs off the car all together and Im guessing around 150lbs off of the nose itself.

If the car is track only, check out burkhartchassis chassis conversion spindles and drag brakes. Drop 70 off the front.

I was actually looking at those...I still bomb around town in it, but its no longer a grocery getter. I have a set of 17's for the rear with some shitty drag radials on it that I drive it around on and on race nights I slap the 15's/slicks on it and trailer it to the spot (whether that be the track or an undisclosed street location in Mexico I can not say lol)... However, it's seeming to me that my plans this winter are to pull the dash remove the air bags, cut some weight out of the chassis, maybe do some seats and add a halo and down bars to complete it to a 8.50 cert cage.... after that, this thing is becoming a race car that'll be trailered to spots for racing and then put back in the garage, I doubt I'll be bombing around in it too much....

Im also considering losing the 4l60 and going turbo 400 with a brake (Ill wait til the 60 grenades) but that too will take away a bit of streetability so some legitimate race brakes and spindles may be in the cards as opposed to some light weight strange brakes like I was thinking about before.

Thanks!! Me too... I'd still like to get this converter cut apart and see what is going on like you mentioned, but I'm now thinking just let it eat and once the trans or current converter blows, I'll go 400 with a brake and manual valve body, so a new converter may be in the works anyways. And this time instead of picking up an off the shelf precision I'll probably call a specialist and have a converter built to better suit my needs/combination.

Trans brakes are a lot of fun . When the time comes, I would call fti for a trans and converter. Customer service is top notch and im really happy with how mine performs

I had a brake in the last car...totally worth it, I'll be able to utilize the two step function on my LNC2000 box with a trans brake too... I was actually just recommended to FTI by a local friend who runs their stuff too. Based off of their rep and pricing that's more than likely who will be earning my business unless I come across a nice deal on this site somewhere.

Damn, you must be not only local but in the same bunch I hang with. I see Jeremy and DocZ's dog in the one pic. I never knew what your car looked like before but I think I have seen it at the track. I see 2 sunset Camaros there a lot of times racing, one must have been you. Gotta meet face to face sometime and check out the ride!

Thanks! I'm hoping with a diet, tune changes, and a th400/brake/rear suspension changes I can flirt with 9.90's we will see.

Yes we do run with the same crowd, not sure how we haven't crossed paths lately. I saw you on here and from same town as me and said "Man who the hell is this guy?!" lol. I asked Jeremy and he straightened me out, we've met a couple of times but not since I had this Camaro and prior to having this car I haven't been around for a few years. You'd probably remember my white 89 coupe fox body, tubbed and big block, big stupid drag wing. I was out in that thing a lot back in the day at the spot in Scotia and the old lot on Central. The other sunset car is from out near the track, talked to him in the past nice guy...its a lot slower than mine LOL. I'm sure we'll run into each other soon!
