I might at some point. More interested in some 3.08 gears if they ever come out.

Converters only offering a couple tenths with bolt on cars. Not sure I want the change in drive ability for that much

Converter will get you .4 - .5 tenths. Gears will not. A good converter in the 3600 range will drive like stock.

Not on these cars. The last two guys who have done it went from 1.55-1.60 60 ft to mid 1.4. Picked up about .2.

At the speed I cross the traps and on a 26 tire a 3.08 gear will be about perfect. I think I will gain with it.

Good news on the converter...I hear some people like and some don't.

The A8 is nothing like the 4l60...It makes 2 more gear changes in the 1/4 mile and has much better shift extension. I think gears makes more sense on this platform unless you need the converter for a cam swap.

not sure of you are being sarcastic...anyway a converter still gains on the 8l90 just not like it did on the 60e. Converter is like 1200.00 so not cheap and aside from that I would like to see the tuning ironed out before adding more slip and heat to the equation.

No sarcasm, I learned something. I don't know anything about 8L90's. I was assuming it would benefit as a 60e would.
