Default Racing invitation at Thunder Shootout

A few of us that are going to the Thunder shootout are going to do a little extra racing at the event. Navy David SS, Taqwache, Pro Stock John and myself are all running in the 10s and are gonna try and run each other in addition to the event. We fall into the class of MS/PA and there's some heavy hitters that will be there. So our goal is to have a little more fun, and by fun, we mean racing. Right now David, Taq and I all share info about our cars, progress and changes. I'm sure we'll continue to do that and use this thread as an update.

If there's anybody else in here that's interested in joining us, feel free to post up.

That's a cool idea...I might actually bring my car out for that.

I was thinking of on running Friday @ no problem's regular T&T and just watching the shootout. Let me know how this will work out. I fit right in this group

More the merrier. With badass, PSJ, Taq, Eric and myself, the list will continue to grow. What only about 6-7 weeks left?

Coach
i dont see why not.

my combo is pretty simple and probably on the biggest budget then most. its in the sig but basicly a stocked headed 6.0L motor set up for N2O that has been bored and mickey mouse stroked to 380ci, off the self BnM TH400 without transbrake, generic 4000 converter, stock 10 bolt with 3.73s, convo pros with 26" by 10" ET streets, stock suspention except a BMR TA that i got for free, and a pieced together N2O kit spraying 200HP though the intake with a single shark nozzle. PP heads will be installed before the race so hopefully those times will drop some

Talked to Paul and what you'll need to due to run with us is sign up for the brackets at least. That way you'll have paid your way into racing and if you just choose to do some "side" races you'll be in.

Coach,

Definitely would love to have you make some runs with us. Guys, this would be a wake up call on the tree with Coach in the other lane

how about anyone that does 9s can't get in. this will keep it a closer race. more like a 10 second club race. know what i mean. also will keep some of the more expensive cars out and give the better drivers (good on the light) a better chance.

that is true, but since he loves NA, maybe we can just spray him off the track on the top end anyways

I agree. It would be great to have Coach in on it.

Taq - how about high 9's ??? I can always go back to the 150 shot also. But I do agree 9's auto disqualification ?? But it is just for fun. More the better.

HOPE - HOPE - HOPE - we'll see this weekend. The 200 shot is all ready. Weather is going to be in the low to mid 80's. Hope the bromo is as high as it has been.

At times it doesn't seem like a "budget" but ya, there is a lot left on the table with a heavy *** SS on a stock bottom end. With good air I'm hoping for 11.3/11.2 on engine only.

I'm hoping to be there in time to TT on Friday, engine only. And than turn the nitrous on for Saturday and Sunday. If I remember right Paul said it was going to be OK to run our "grundge" match on Saturday after the time-trials are over. Right Eric?

See ya later

David

As long as people are being up front about what they run, it will make it more enjoyable. We know what some of the cars in MS/PA are already capable of, so these races will hopefully be at least close.

looks like i will be racing on the 25 of this month even if the heads are not on just yet. it will be in SAR at the midnight madness. those races are pretty fun, only $10 to race and gates dont open until 9pm. time trials until midnight, then the races start. maybe i can get a cage installed before then. if not then i will have to go NA since they already kick me off the track last time.
