Default Those of you with 10 sec. daily drivers

What kind of suspension setups are you running to get you into the 10's? I plan on getting all my suspension work and a rear-end before messing with the motor. This will be my daily driver, and I want it to launch hard, but not sacrifice highway driving, and turning...

Would this be a good setup:

-BMR Tubular K-Member
-BMR Tubular Front Upper and Lower A-arms
-BMR Xtreme Torque Arm
-BMR Xtreme Control Arms
-BMR Xtreme Shocktower Brace
-BMR Dragrace Rear Anti-Roll Bar
-BMR Chrome Moly Panhard Rod
-BMR Boxed Subframe Connectors
-1LE Springs
-QA1 Shocks

Is that overkill, or are all those good for a street/strip car?

i have all that stuff but the A arms. car isn't a D.D but i'll drive it anywhere anytime and do regularly.

only problem i forsee maybe is the A arms..they can tend to be not super daily driver friendly. the car will also ride like **** with a drag bar on it, be prepared for that. solid endlinks don't do nice things for comfort on the street.

i say go for it, just don't expect the thing to ride like a cadillac.

I used the spohn products. I still have the factory shocks. I think the anti roll is a bit to much for a daily driver. Im happy with the 25mm spohn anti sway bar. Do a search on it there had been a few threads on it a couple of months ago. I dont know about the tubular k menber or A-arms. I drive my car to work every day the weathers nice. 16,000 miles in 2 years

If you want a smooth ride with feeling no real difference from a stock ride, you may achieve that with real big power, but at a healthy price. If you used to the feeling of a stock ride, expect to feel a difference with your drag setup. You'll still be able to drive it everyday, just going to loose the smoothness of a stock ride. You're on the right track, supsension and drivetrain are a key component of going fast. You'll want to ditch the front swaybar for weight transfer. The shock tower brace may help while on the street but would be best taken off at the track and I personally would do without it. 10's are acheivable in a daily driver and from the looks of your username you're going to do this n/a. If you want to go fast, be willing to trade off some comfort.

all i have is QA1/HAL front shocks & springs, some cheapy 3-way adj. rear shocks, front sway bar removed, SFC's, non adjustable LCA's, PHR, and thats about it. If I had the money I would do all the light weight suspension and get a good Tq arm setup also, but so far still running the stock tq arm in the stock location.

Also remember weight reduction and good weight transfer are key factors also

Do you know what setup you will be going with? cam only, H/C, more CI?

I say keep the suspension nice and add more horsepower. If you get everything out of the suspension it is going to ride like ****.

For a street car, I agree with SilvrnewsponsorZ28.

Kinda like Intmd8's car.

I run QA1 shocks front and rear, BMR torque arm, hotchkis lc's and panhard rod, subframe connectors and our lca relocation brackets. Drive it everyday to and from work and around town. Even drive it the 90 miles to the track and back when I have to.

Would the original author's suspension set-up minus the drag anti-roll bar be alright for daily driving? I'd like to do a set-up similar to that, using all BMR pieces, but I don't wnat any weird clunking/rattling around like I've heard some people say they have got. I'm going for more of a handling oriented suspension, so getting the tires to plant isn't the biggest concern for me.

Hals all the way around,
BMR tq arm, sub frames, lca's
and sticky tires.
I drive it everywhere, and run bottom 10's when I get there.
all I do is swap tires, and adjust the front shocks, and open the cutout
