Goal - 11.4 secs
Hey you lucky 11 sec guys. I have a 2001 camaro SS, LS1 6speed stock motor, street tires BF Goodrich G-force. I just purchased a 228/232 .580 lift 112 lsa camshaft, longtubes with y -pipe.
Things Im planning to buy: ASP pulley, harmonic balancer, 42 lbs injectors, Dana 60 with 4.10s or 4.30s, twin-disc clutch (920 tq), double timing chain, oil pump, electric water pump, double spring kit (heads). Is there anything in this list you guys think I could improve on or add to this list??
Also whats the best heads out there to flow perfectly with My cam? I really would like to hit 11.4 secs in the quarter.
Also could I just use My 10 bolt rearend (if I had 430rwhp) and throw 4.10s or 4.30s in there and be able to race it without breaking anything?
Any advice appreciated, thnx

The actual amount of money to set up a rear end (even by yourself) is not worth the money in a 10 bolt. When you step up to a 4.10 + gear, that is just a recipe for disaster. I had a friend break 2 ten bolts on a BONE STOCK 6 speed car. He did the work, still cost ~700 to fix. @ that point, you're halfway to a used 9" or 12 bolt.

A Dana 60 should be strong enough. get some lca's, torque arm, !swaybar, et streets with skinnies up front and a used nitrous kit, I just sold one with a window switch for $350 shipped. With the cam I dont see why you couldnt reach your goal on a small shot, maybe even tens depending on traction and weight

4.10s would help but just dont even put those in the 10 bolt. they will break easier than stock most likely.
owning a stick, you can fairly safely cut higher 1.8s w/o concern of breakage. dont rev higher than 3, and slip it just slightly.
then again, that is still a much slower 60' than the car could actually do. damn 10 bolts.
