Default 11's first time out wth new mods

Added heads and intake to my 224/230 and ran a new best of 11.88@112 with a 1.64 60ft. MPH seems low but ran 3 11 sec runs and all were 112. Ran a 12.2 in the other lane @ 119mph. I think something was up with their trap speeds.

Ran 12.18 cam only so with a bit more seat time im hoping for 11.7xxs

Can I please be added to the 11 sec club now.
Thanks!

Yeah, the 119 MPH sounds about right for your RWHP. Unless the DA was like 6500'.

I have very similar mods, see sig for my details. Good run, it's so much fun!

Btw, was your dyno run done with the converter locked and what type of dyno was it?

Mine dyno'd low, but runs good...with the shift issues resolved I'm hoping for 11.50's - 11.60's and also pick up a MPH or 2!

I dont think he's anywhere near 10's with them mods a full weight!

Thanks SAPS i remember talking to you after i posted my dyno sheet.
Converter was locked on a dynojet.

By the last run i started to realize my convertor likes to flashed to around 3k rpm, just ready to break the tires loose. I think i have another tenth or two but no more.

Ive heard many stories like you guys posted about people running good times w/less HP but i've personally never seen anything like it at my track. There were plenty other f-bods at the track last night with bigger cams and heads not even breaking into 11's. granted there 60s were 1.8xs - 1.9xs but i dont see alot of the times posted by people on here at my track, Im not doubting or calling anyone out but it must be the DA or something at Pittsburgh Raceway Park.

Im more impressed with the 119mph trap speed. That matches up with the 432rwhp but with a 1.64 60' & 119 traps, you should be 11.4-11.5's ETs....something has to be screwed up with that 112 traps.

Yea. that 119 was in the left lane. I checked another guys(04 cobra) slip and he was 6 mph faster in the left lane with roughly the same 60s and ets so something was wrong. I think theres a little room for improvement but not much. Remember I remove nothing from my car and run with half a tank of gas and my fatass weighing in around 265.
I did run with 15" convo pros with Nitto555rs in the rear and skinnies up front.

I will go back later this summer hoping for some better times but i was happy to break into the 11.8xs for now. Almost seems about right considering i added about 35rwhp since my 12.18 cam only run.

Some people don't consder the DA and time of year when they compare your times to people in a -800ft or more DA. In the same condistions as mentioned you probably would be 5 or more tenths faster.

Congrats on the new best ,Onyx . I could be wrong ,but your stall could be the reason why your mph is low. I'm running a 3200 Vig myself and I'm getting ready to switch to a SS4000 Yank. For several years ,everyone I've seen on this board with those converters almost always out 60ft" and top-end perform over a Vigilante . I'm not trying to start a flame war ,but it's seems to be that way. And besides , a 1.64 60 ft isn't bad at all !!

Interesting...my buddy has a Vigilante in his full weight, H/C camaro and can only manage bottom 12's @112-113 with 1.6 60's....I oftened wondered if his Vigilante convertor was affecting his mph. He made 380rwhp.

it's not really an issue , but it seems cars with yanks seems to MPH a little better for years. I have had this 3200vig in my car since 2002 and never had a problem with it . so the quality is awesome .

Brandon....

I trapped 109 in the right lane and 114 in the left at PRP.

Something is up with their timing system on certain lowered cars... I bet your splitter is effecting it.
