Default Almost made the club

Took my camaro to a local track for the first time last night, my first run will be a long time memory I spun down the entire track. Got a hold on things for a while, came close to joining the club, but with 75% worn out street tires the slower times were just a lot of tire spin. Any ideas on what times I should run with drag radials or slicks based on the time-slips below? Maybe next time I can join this club!

drag radials will get your 60ft down a few tenths which will put you in the 11's for sure.

i'm not that familiar with camaro's but i'd *think* 559rwhp should net >120 traps unless your not drivin her hard or the DA was really high.

If u can pull a 1.8 or 1.7 60ft on drag radials u would get mid 11's easy but the gen 5's seem hard to get good 60ft times out of.

MY trap speeds were between 115 and 121, to me traction everywhere was the problem for sure.

I am right there with you, last time to the strip I ran a 12.3*, 12.11, 12.01, 12.005... That was on a 3100 DA day, cant wait for the cold weather. Still looking for my 1st 11 second time slip!

You will knock .5-.6 off with just some good drag radials.

I wouldn't waste your time and for that matter safety with street tires.

Update
Got a set of MT drag radials and some cool air and ran an 11.200. A car took out the MPH light so I did not get a MPH. I ran a 11.370 as well, here are the slips.

Thanks, I think it was 50% the weather and 50% the drag radials. Together it made up a lot. Now if I can get the 60' time down another .1 might get close to or in the 10s.
