Finally in the 11's NA
Well, the old "Blue Beast", my '94 Z28, did it Wednesday night at San Antonio Raceway. She's been capable of 11's on the juice for the last year (since the NX kit was installed) but I had not gotten her into the 11's on motor until this last outing.
11.95 at a measley 114 MPH. She ran an 11.98 in time trials, and I dialed in a 11.96. I caught and passed my competitor and lifted about 30' before the traps and still broke out. Wish I had stayed in it so I could be posting an ET that is a tiny bit quicker, but that will come.
I'm just pleased that it has a few NA 11 sec timeslips now.

Thanks guys!
Just sprayed her for the first time on this setup. With a little 75 shot, she turned a 11.44 @ 119 MPH. I just did one single pass spraying. On the 26" MT DR's the motor nosed over right as I hit the traps, telling me I need to put the 27" Hoosiers I have on before upping the shot. (to lower my RPM in the traps). I'm pleased with that result. I had run an 11.40 @122 MPH on a 100-shot before re-doing the heads (Port Pros here in Austin) and going to long tubes/true duals. It pretty much makes sense ET-wise, as the head work and true duals added right about 25 RWHP. However the trap speed could be better.
I'll continue to play and we'll see...

Thanks guys! At the tracks I go to (Mostly SAR and TAD), it's very rare to find a decently quick LT1 running. I'm usually the only one. As a result I get people, Fox body guys especially, coming up to me and saying "What shot did you run that last pass? I saw you from the stands."
I point to the empty bottle bracket behind seat and say "none, that was all motor".
Not saying my car is super quick, but it's respectable for a 355 cube LT1, and usually the only clean/quick LT1 at the track.
JM, LOL. You must have seen my signature on the AFB forums.
