Are 11's a realistic goal with this setup? I'm trying to determine whether or not I'll be able to hit 11's without any seriously expensive modifications... Right now I basically just have a 2000 Z28 with a P1 blower on a 6 lbs pulley. Also have a cutout. All of my passes have been and will be on street tires with the stock 10-bolt. The car is an M6. More about it in the sig. Anyways right now I'm running consistant 12.4's. I'm confident that with my current setup I'll be able to hit a high 12.3, I just have to work on my 60' and shifting. A little more track time and I'll be there. But I'd like to know if you think the following mods should let me hit 11's: Ported TB 8 lbs pulley with a tune The big thing is the pulley. Do you think two additional pounds and a nice tune will help me hit 11's? Or am I hoping for too much? If so, what inexpensive modification would make a large enough difference to get me there? (Weight reduction not included.) Feedback is much appreciated. Thanks. |
I think it's doable with mods you have planned to do. But like you said, it all depends on your short time. What are your 60' time btw? |
I've had three 60's dip into the 1.9X. Best is a 1.963. |
I think it should make it if you do the Pulley and TB but you might want to try some drag radials as well. Good luck!! |
DR's won't be part of the mix. The idea is street tires. We'll know next year. Pulley won't go on for another month :( |
