another "can i run 11's" thread Mods list: ls6 intake pacesetter headers w/td's slp lid A3 w/vig. 3200 10 bolt w/locker 3.23 and nittos coming..... 232/238 around .600 lift 112 lsa (custom grind dont know exact lift) spohn tq arm if been told this cam will possibly put me into the 11's but wanted to see if anyone has a similar setup and got in the 11's. for good measure I may be slapping on a 100 shot. but want 11's n/a. |
Hard to tell, so many variables. Have you ever run at the track before? Any weight reduction, even if it's just the spare tire? You should have a shot at it. Get those nittos HOT, get the air pressure right and figure out how to get a 1.6 60'. The only way you will have any real idea is to get out and try. |
my times are in my sig. they were before i got the headers and duals. I took out the spare tire thats about it. |

So did have the converter and intake when you ran those times? If so you have a ways to go before you reach 11's. I'm guessing part of the problem is your tranny, tall first gear and subsequently lazy 60' time. Work on the 60', you need to get it below 1.7. |
the intake will come with the cam....those times were with the lid, maf, tranny and stall with a locker and nitto's. i also had stock manifold with cats and a 3 inch y pipe dumped at the axle and no tune. I think I could have cut the sixties down a little more but I never made another track run last year. |
